About the Author

Andrea Posner-Sanchez has worked as an editor in children’s publishing for more than 20 years, and is a prolific author of books for children. Her books include Always a Princess (Disney Princess), Dog Days (The Secret Life of Pets), and Meet Maui (Disney Moana). She lives in New York City with her husband and their daughter.Terry Izumi is the director and animator of the PBS Kids TV series Dinosaur Train. This is a very informative book with cute illustrations BUT I don’t love it. Why? Well the book has a letter of the alphabet and a dinosaur on each page. Great! The problem is that some pages have a character from the series as an additional example of the dinosaur and sometimes it is one of the ‘Pterodon Family’ members. This confuses the heck out of my 3 1/2 yo. He doesn’t understand why sometimes the picture is the the ’right’ dinosaur and sometimes not. Maybe not a big deal for an older kid who can already read?

My 3.5 year old LOVES Dinosaur Train on PBS. We save the most recent episodes on our TiVo and had to permanently save the 4 episodes that make up the Dinosaurs A to Z (Tiny's big idea!). My son has learned and remembered SO many dinosaur names from this show. He impresses everyone with his talk of the Pachycepholosaurus, for example. There is an adorable dinosaur A-Z song where they sing all the dino's names. It goes rather quickly, and with these long Dino names can be hard for the little ones to sing. As soon as I saw this book, I knew he had to have it. He now flips through it and follows the TV story at the same time. I've also seen him flipping through the book and singing the song to himself. Now, his 19 month old brother also reaches for this book often. Highly recommend as a companion to the show.

This book is great for dinosaur lovers. My 3 year old is obsessed with dinosaurs. We watch Dinosaur Train occasionally and he loves the song for these. The best part is they give you the breakdown on how to pronounce each dinosaur and the time period.

My young son loves this book. He appears to be on the Autism Spectrum and Dinosaur Train is something he loves dearly to the point that he can say all the letters and the full dinosaurs associated with it at 4 years old.

My five year old grandson now knows the names of all these dinosaurs no matter where he sees them. Which impresses people no end! Great book. :)

Great addition to grandkids' collection of dinosaur books! Reinforces lessons learned on the popular T.V. show: Dinosaur Train. I appreciate author's help with pronouncing each dinosaur's name correctly.

I love this book almost as much as I love the television show. It is a good size and sturdy enough for a rough toddler. I love all the information provided including pronunciation! None of our other dinosaur books provide the pronunciation which I feel is the most important part. They go above and beyond, but that's what I expected from PBS Kids. <3

My son loves all things dinosaur, and Dinosaur Train is no exception. At 7 years old, he can recognize and say almost all of the names of the dinosaurs in this book. We actually saw several we had never heard of before! It's thick and padded too, so it's easy to find on the bookshelf, and will last a long time compared to regular paper books.
