I am actually in the process of getting a dental implant (I had an infected root canaled tooth that had to be removed a few months ago- now just waiting for the site to heal up before the implant can be done). So I was really excited to see this book available. It answered many of the questions I had about implants that my dentist didn't go over with me. I think it's so important to be an informed patient and this book will give anyone who is considering a dental implant a great foundation to ask their dentist the right questions and make informed decisions about their treatment.

I am actually lucky enough to to have the author as my own dentist for over a decade now (hi doc!) and so it came as no suprise to me that he was able to take something so complex and complicated by multiple layers or possible obstacles and boil it down to something I could make sense of. When it comes time for me to have to make a choice about implants for myself or someone in my family I will feel so much more confident and knowledgeable about making that educated decision.Reading about this topic is hardly a pleasure read, but this book brings it to a place where it is easy to read and understand. If you are considering this for yourself or your family, I highly recommend giving this a read to help give both for your own understanding and to give you a good foundation on which to have conversations with your own dentist.

This is a must read book for anyone who needs to replace their teeth and needs reliable information about the options available to them, including implants. Although the book is essentially about implants, Dr Brazis describes the pros and cons of each option without stressing one over the other.If you are considering implants, he describes what to expect at every step. I am recommending the book to my dentist to share with his other patients.

Considering Implants? You want to read this first!Dr. Brazis gives us an intelligent and conversational look into the science, health and restorative process of dental implants. Often, dentists do not have the time to discuss at length the pros and cons of dental implants. This is a thoughtful guide to help any patient considering the process. You will be armed with the pluses and minuses as well as risks and benefits. I really appreciated that Dr. Brazis addressed the "emotional" part of the equation. He has a clear understanding of how emotions can affect us on a systemic level. If I were considering implants Dr. Brazis is the kind of doctor I would choose to do it.

Having had dental implants twice, I really wish I had had this book available before hand. It answers a lot of questions I had and even some I wouldn't have thought to ask. In both my cases, there weren't a lot of options, and I'm fortunate that I was able to afford it. The hardest part for me was the healing time between the implant surgery and the placement of the teeth. But now that it's done I'm really happy with the way it looks and the way I can chew.

This is a fabulous book and I have sent it to all my friends. Plus, I recommended it to my own dentist to suggest for his patients. Well written, clear, concise and after reading you will be able to know exactly what is happening if you are considering an implant.

Easy to read. Lots of information and great to have it all in one place. I got this as a gift for a very anxious friend who was dreading even the idea of implants. It's a gently written approach.

This book is so full of information about dental implants! Dr. Brazis writes in a manner that is easy to understand for the non dental person! I felt that all the questions I would have in regards to implants could be answered in this book. Besides being full of important information, I appreciated the chapter on who needs implants and the costs involved! A great resource to have! Thanks Steve for making this available to us!

This book probably comes the closest of anything I've seen to detailing the things that are likely to get erotic books (especially by indie authors) banned or removed from search on Amazon. As the author admits, the information is somewhat speculative because Amazon's publicly available guidelines are quite vague. Even so, the author has been able to piece together some clues as to what will tend to get you flagged from her own personal experiences and those of other erotic authors she has interviewed. While there's no guarantee that following the recommendations in the book will work 100% of the time, I felt that the guidelines presented did make a lot of sense and made Amazon's seemingly inconsistent and arbitrary evaluations of erotic books seem much more consistent and logical. I think that by following the recommendations of this book, aspiring erotic authors can probably avoid running afoul of Amazon most of the time.

Okay, I don't write erotica. Blame it on years of Catholic school.So, I kind of winced clicking the four-star option ("I like it") for this review.However, a fellow author recommended this book for insights about book marketing and writing in general, and she was right. There's more in this book than the cover or title suggest. Plus that, the book was entertaining to read. (I didn't read the entire book, just enough to glean the universally useful tips Ms. Scarlet shared.)If you're writing erotica, this is probably a must-read. While publishers' guidelines change regularly -- and that's not just about Amazon -- their screening methods have a more consistent foundation. That's what authors need to understand, so they can plan ahead.For me, this book provided a better understanding of the criteria publishers and booksellers use, in general, to decide which books to carry, which books to promote most heavily, and which books to weed out.

This is a useful little guide that discusses a number of pitfalls that may be encountered when publishing with Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing Program.The author tries to explain what exactly constitutes inappropriate content, while acknowledging that Amazon's Content Guidelines are intentionally vague.There are examples of things that will likely be flagged, and suggested workarounds.I found it informative, and while some of the information included would seem obvious, some of it is not.For a prospective author, this book may help you avoid some issues with having your titles pulled at Amazon, although it is unlikely to eliminate all of your troubles, since the guidelines are so open to interpretation.It's probably worth the investment for anyone publishing erotica on Amazon.

Publishing on Amazon is a puzzling maze that you navigate blindfolded. Ms. Scarlett's lengthy list of published erotica titles testifies to her knowledge of this area, and her guidance is gold.I'd like to add one thing... author Scarlett points out that Amazon evaluates four separate elements of your book's content in determining its suitability for publication (MS, cover, title, description). It is vital to understand that the same guidelines apply to the seven keywords you list while publishing the book on KDP.

This book was somewhat helpful but mostly recounting probelms without solutions. Very little on the rules Amazon has on what is okay, erotic content wise, to publish. I was very disappointed. Felt like a gimmick to make money.

Not that it's a "tome", but I couldn't resist the alliteration. Publishing on Amazon, while a boon to those who wish to write in an era when getting published is nigh onto impossible, is also fraught with it's own pitfalls. Ms. Scarlet does an admirable job of delineating those pitfalls and showing those budding writers how to brave the maze that is electronic publishing. Kudos!
