Picks up pretty close to book 3 ending. I wouldn't say this is a standalone because you have to know who these characters are from previous books and Armstrong doesn't waste our time explaining what the backgrounds of all the supporting characters are, which I appreciate more than I can say. We get to meet April, Casey's sister in this and while we are learning about her so is Casey, and it was informative as well a good plot point. April comes to help Kenny from the shooting in book 3, I'm not sure who helps who most in this story. We get a good murder mystery that takes Casey's detective abilities to solve. Always interesting to learn more about these townspeople and the town itself, as well as why they have come to escape their individual world's. Looking forward to the next book.

I have to say I was wondering where this story was going to take us. I really enjoyed the interaction between the characters. What I really like was the fact Armstrong introduced Casey's sister as having Autism. To have Isobel point out the signs to Casey; to make her understand what her sister has gone through and why she seems distant. I can't wait to see how this relationship develops, along with her relationship with Kenny.

Kelley Armstrong build another tight thriller for Casey, Eric and the other characters who reside in Rockton. With each novel more layers are revealed and the reader develops a deeper appreciation of the interplay and dysfunction of this community and its denizens. I eagerly await each new addition to this series. I do recommend reading the novels in order to gain the best understanding of the intricate world building in these novels.

This time we get to meet Alice, Casey's sister. There have been hints about their troubled relationship in previous books, so I really enjoyed getting to know Alice. The best part of these books is the relationships between Eric and Casey, and the main characters in Rockton. I can't get enough or Mathias, and, as usual, there are twists and turns until the very end of the book.

Starting right after book 3, the author takes us back to Rockton and the surrounding forest. Casey & Dalton are up to their eyeballs in crime and even they can't figure out how all this is going to pan out. With her dedication to entertainment, mystery & thrills Kelley Armstrong held me as a servant to her words as they rolled out.

Another fun outing in the Rockton series. Kelley Armstrong writes exciting stories from YA to adult and paranormal to mystery. Lucky us!!!!

I love this series, it is like coming home when I pick up the book. Casey seems to be steeped in dangerous situations. She is in love with Dalton and her puppy, but now she also has her sister, and also friends that fill her life.

I really like this series and really hate waiting for the next in line. The concept is interesting the tension is fantastic. Love the heroine.

The student curriculum was better than I expected. The lessons were easy to understand and easy to teach. Each lesson has a list up front explaining everything you need for the session. This alone is very helpful.As for the lessons, the students in my Sunday School class (11th and 12th graders) are being challenged by new ideas and thoughts. This has led them to really look at their faith and figure out what they truly believe. This alone is essential to them establishing a personal faith and not cling to the faith of their parents.This curriculum is essential to any youth group. The Sticky Faith Teen Curriculum provides a great venue to have conversations with students about what their faith will look like beyond high school. The lesson format reflects the Deep Ministry Model. Great resource for any church desiring to prepare their youth for life after high school yet staying connected to their church. Our church is moving to an intergenerational philosophy of ministry that seeks to incorporate all generations in what we do. Sticky Faith is a great find for us!

In my 12 years of youth ministry, I have watched too many seniors graduate from youth group, go off to college, and wander from their faith. This is a much needed curriculum. Great stuff!

I chose this rating because this curriculum has my high school youth group listening and participating more than most I have used before. The subjects are relevant and encourage students to think deeply about their faith as it relates to their world both now and in the close future of college.

The Sticky Faith books from the Fuller Youth Institute combine quality research with sound, theological teaching in order to help prepare students for college. The lessons in this curriculum are simple to put together, but their content is deep enough to challenge and encourage high school seniors looking to maintain their faith once they leave the youth ministry experience.While most of the curriculum focuses on practical issues that teens will face their first year in college, the first two lessons build a good theological foundation first which helps give weight to following sessions. While this single study won't be a "silver-bullet" for your students' faith to "stick" through college by itself (see the other Sticky Faith resources for more on why), this goes a long way in helping seniors think about their faith for themselves, and what they will do when they encounter struggles and even doubts in their own faith as they leave home.I am currently leading our seniors through this study in the youth group I pastor, and I highly recommend it.

The folks at Fuller Youth Institute have done their homework and it shows with the resources they are creating. Sticky Faith 'Teen Curriculum' directly addresses some of the key touch points that the research bears out, that students themselves said they desperately wanted and needed addressed.
